Purpose of the job:

Being responsible for technical expansion and automation of the ESG Data model to fulfill the requirements for the internal customer within Deutsche Telekom Group. ESG is a growing, strategic initiative in DT and you will play an important role in the digitalization and automation of the underlying data processes.

Job description, responsibilities, and duties:

As a ESG Data Engineer, you will develop advanced technical solutions for the expansion and automation of the ESG Data model.

Continuous optimization and expansion of the ESG Data model
Development and automation of data collection process for the ESG Reporting
design further automations of services, processes and operating models for various ESG related projects (e.g. IT interfaces between different systems)
Advising the business on automatable process designs in the task area
Conversion business requirements into technical specifications and alignment with the internal & external partners (e.g. Reporting Team and IT)
You control internal or external partners for system development and work closely with other teams in an international environment
You support the optimization and harmonization of architecture and IT Infrastructure
You coordinate and support complex IT projects

Requirements for the employee:

Education: University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Informatics, Business Informatics or a related degree
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience (DevOps Engineer, Data Engineer)
Language knowledge: English (fluent) and German (beneficial)
Very good knowledge of SAP BW on HANA, SAP BW/4HANA technology
In-depth knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA modeling and data staging methods (incl. SAP development tools HANA studio, Eclipse etc.)
Very good knowledge of general design and implementation methods in the SAP BI environment
Programming knowledge in ABAP/ABAP OOO and/or HANA SQL desirable
Knowledge in SAP Business Transformation Platform desirable (incl. UIx methods)

Beneficial:

First experiences in (partial) project management
First experience in BI/Data analysis tools (e.g. Analysis for Office, SQL)
First experience in Data visualization tools (e.g. PowerPoint, ThinkCell, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, SAP Analytical Cloud, etc.)
Data Analytics skills (interpretation and classification of data; data modelling

Other skills:

Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methods of working
Knowledge of the relevant economic, financial and ESG-related figures and facts
Interested in climate issues such as electricity consumption, emissions etc.
Structured and independent work approach and analytical skills
Adaptability and flexibility
Strong sense of responsibility
High attitude towards quality
Customer orientation & ability to work in a team
