Job description:
As part of our development team, you will drive digitalization in the areas of planning, forecasting and internal control. You will partner with corporate controllers of DT across our European footprint and model their existing planning workflows into our state-of-the-art cloud-based forecasting software – Jedox. Your role is to be a bridge between the technical implementation of the platform and the business requirements of our customers.
No prior knowledge of Jedox is required for this position as adequate training will be provided in house.
Jedox is an EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) software solution based on multidimensional OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) technology that allows us to simplify and digitalize existing planning processes. It enables grater automation of projections and forecasts, driver-based planning, AI predictions and improved collaboration of stakeholders based on workflow monitoring and shared use of an integrated platform.
Your main accountabilities:
- Analysis and implementation of business requirements – development of operational planning models in Jedox based on an agile cooperation with business controllers.
- You will be a partner and advisor to business owners, collaborating to provide the best technical implementation in Jedox and helping them digitalize their planning processes at country level (Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia)
- Business modeling – creating dimensions, data cubes and KPI rules – data structuring.
- Front-end design – creating reports in Jedox to facilitate data analysis and collection.
- Contributing and defining platform wide standards to be used by all customers (consistent data modeling & report visualization)
- Continuous knowledge sharing with relevant team members to avoid knowledge gaps
Competence Profile:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Informatics, Business Informatics, Mathematics or a related degree
- 2+ years of relevant experience as a Solution Designer/Business Analyst/BI developer or a similar role
- At least 1 year of experience working with Reporting and Planning software.
- Strong analytical and solutions-oriented mindset, ability to understand the big picture and to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Competence in working with relational or multidimensional databases.
- Competence in structuring large volumes of data and extracting relevant information (ETL)
- Experience in designing dashboards/reports in one of the BI systems (SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Microstrategy, IBM Cognos Analytics)
- Nice to have: experience in SAP BW or other multidimensional systems (Oracle, IBM, Jedox).
- Knowledge of companywide financial planning processes would be a plus.
- Language: Fluent written and spoken English. German would be a plus.
